Do I need to know how to code?
No! Your board comes pre-installed with Weather Commander. You can download other Missions (like Wildlife Sentry) from the Software section and simply drag-and-drop them to the SD card.
Can I run Weather and Camera at the same time?
It depends on your hardware:
- Standard Board: No. Running sensors + heavy AI overload the single chip.
- Pro Combo: YES! The Pro setup includes a secondary ESP32-CAM module. This gives you "Dual Brains"—one chip handles the Weather, while the second chip handles the Video/AI, allowing both to run perfectly in sync.
Is it waterproof?
The bare electronics are not. We recommend buying our Weather-Ready Combo (includes IP67 Junction Box) or printing your own case using files from the Workbench section.
Why are my readings jumping around?
This is usually caused by EMF Interference. If your sensors or microphone are acting strange, move the unit at least 5 feet away from WiFi routers, microwaves, or high-voltage power lines.
Is there a monthly subscription?
Never. The Weatherything Station is 100% Open Source and Community Driven. You own your hardware, you own your data, and the software is free forever.
Can I add a microphone?
Yes! The board supports the INMP441 I2S Microphone module. This allows for high-fidelity nature listening and streaming directly to your dashboard.
